Description
Jake Beimler is from Ketchikan, Alaska. His company, Bifrost Blacksmithing, is devoted to carrying on the original methods of blacksmithing.
From the blade to the sheath, every part a Bifrost knife is custom made and unique. Each blade is hand-forged using recycled high-carbon steel, then handled with locally obtained antler. Bifrost knives are also guaranteed— If your knife chips, breaks (due to a fault in manufacturing- excludes damages that occur from misuse), or simply needs a sharpening, send it to them and Bifrost will fix it free of charge!
Approximate blade length: 6″, leather sheath included.
The ulu was traditionally used by Inuit, Yupik, and Aleut women. Even today, many Alaskans prefer the all-purpose knife as it is great to use in many applications, including chopping meat, dicing vegetables, mincing, and filleting fish.
Made in Alaska.
