Authentic Alaskan license plate (not a reproduction). This popular graphic issue featuring a Kodiak bear was introduced at the end of 1975 and carried a screened “76” flag at the top right, celebrating the U.S. Bicentennial. These plates were replaced at the end of 1982. They were the first Alaska design to use an ABC-123 series, which remains in use today.
